Mura CMS

What is Mura CMS?

Mura CMS is an open source content management system for CFML, created by Blue River Interactive Group. It is licensed under GPL-2.0 with exceptions and is designed so marketing teams can manage content while developers build extensible, custom sites.

Key features of Mura CMS

• Content management for sites with pages, blogs and event calendars.
• Member pages and user-restricted content areas.
• Prebuilt widgets such as slideshows, site maps and tag clouds.
• Extensible components so developers can add features.
• Open source code under GPL-2.0 with exceptions.
• Runs on CFML application servers.

Who uses Mura CMS?

Mura CMS is used by marketing departments, web designers and CFML developers. Listings note that large organizations and government agencies have used it, though customer lists should be verified with the vendor.

Mura CMS pricing

Mura CMS is open source and free to download under its license. Costs come from hosting a CFML server and from development or support services, and the vendor site could not be reached to confirm any commercial plans.

Mura CMS alternatives

Common alternatives to Mura CMS include WordPress, Drupal and Masa CMS. Masa CMS is a community fork of Mura, and teams outside the CFML ecosystem usually compare PHP-based systems.
