What is Magisto?

Magisto is an AI-powered video editor that automatically turns raw clips and photos into finished, shareable videos. It was acquired by Vimeo in 2019 and is available on web and mobile. The service has had a changing ownership and support history, so verify current status before committing.

Key capabilities of Magisto

• Automatic editing: AI selects the best moments and assembles a cut
• Marketing templates: prebuilt styles for business and social videos
• Music matching: adds soundtrack that fits the footage
• Style controls: choose themes and pacing for the final video
• Social publishing: share finished videos to social channels
• Commercial usage rights: higher plans allow commercial use

How Magisto works

You upload clips and photos, choose an editing style and a soundtrack, and Magisto analyzes the footage to select highlights and assemble a video with transitions, text and music. You can adjust the style and re-render. The output is exported for social or marketing use.
