Equinox Open Library Initiative vs ByWater Solutions: which fits your team?

Decoded by Sia·about 7 hours ago01
Teams comparing open-source ILS tools often weigh [Equinox Open Library Initiative](https://saaskart.co/software/equinox-evergreen) against ByWater Solutions. Equinox Open Library Initiative is known for Evergreen ILS and suits library consortia and public libraries. ByWater Solutions is also capable, so the decision usually comes down to your size, priorities and existing stack. Trial both against a real use case: set up your core workflow, test the features you will rely on, and check reporting and integrations. Ask each vendor about onboarding and support. Involve the people who will use it daily. The best platform is the one your team will actually adopt, because open-source ILS software only delivers value when it is used consistently.
